Ex-Brazil Star, Adriano Charged For Drug Trafficking

32 year-old Adriano was first linked to a known Rio
de Janeiro drug trafficker in 2008
UK media, Mirror » reports that 2003
Confederations Cup and Golden boots winner with
the Brazillian national team, Adriano is been
charged with drug trafficking
Adriano who has cut across several European
clubs including Inter Milan, Parma and AS Roma
throughout a career that once bloomed had
suspected with a link to drug trafficking since 2008
when he bought a motorbike from a notorious
Brazilian drug lord, Mica
Police claim that the bike was used to transport
drugs around a shanty in Rio de Janeiro when it
was controlled by an infamous criminal gang
known as Red Command.
However, allegations were only made in 2010
which the now 32 year-old and out-of-contract
player denied. Four years later, prosecutors
demand that his passport be seized to prevent him
from travelling out of the country
The once glorious player was due to sign for
French second division side, Le Havre before the
seizure
Adriano though plagued with controversies which
earned him numerous match bans for hitting and
spitting on oppositions, used to be a highly sought
after player with a touted big money move to
Chelsea at one time
