Borno State government issued an order
following which public schools closed earlier this
year are to reopen November 17.
The schools were shut down March 14 over
security issues caused by Boko Haram attacks
on schools in Yobe State .
The education officials of Borno explained that all
the safety measures had been adopted and that
students’ security would be ensured.
It was added however that only primary schools
would resume work, while secondary schools
would remain close until the displaced
people taking refuge in the institutions were
relocated.
