Ebola Outbreak Death toll passes 7500

The WHO also added that it had
recorded almost 20,000 cases of the
disease since the beginning of the
outbreak.
The death toll from the current Ebola outbreak
has now passed the 7,500 mark, according to the
World Health Organization (WHO).

The new figures were revealed on Friday,
December 19, and are based on the situation in
the three worst affected countries, Liberia ,
Guinea and Sierra Leone .
The rate of Ebola transmissions has decreased in
the first two countries but Sierra Leone is still
witnessing a rapid spread of the disease.
The Sierra Leonean government has announced a
ban on all Christmas celebrations to enable it
curb the spread of Ebola.
