Happy Holidays! 6 fun things to try this yuletide season

The holidays needn't just be about
food and catching up on your
favourite series, there are several
fun things you can try this holiday
season.
Nothing beats sleeping in late and one of the best
things about the yuletide season is the opportunity
it gives us to do just this.
But everything that has a beginning also has an
end and often times, we find that the holidays
race away before we can even wrap our heads
around it.
In view of this, it is advisable to have a plan
ahead of the holidays so they don't just come and
take you completely unawares or worse still, you
don't do anything fun with the time.
To help you with this plan, here are 6 fun things
you can do this holiday season.
1. Go on a trip with friends: A group trip
with friends is a great way to spend the yuletide
season. You not only get to explore a new place,
you also get to share the experience with friends,
awesome, right?
2. Road trip with friends: Incase we weren't
clear with the first point, we were referring to a
trip overseas. This time though, we mean a good,
ol', fashion trip to a place within the country
where you've never been. Places like the Ikogosi
warm spring and Olumo rock could be a
destination point for you. You can also take a
road trip to a West African country like Ghana
or Benin . Just let your inner adventurer get
the best of you.
3. Organise a soiree: Where 10 or more are
gathered, let there be a soiree! Celebrate the
festive season by gathering your closest and
dearest friends - and their friends, put on some
good music, ensure a steady supply of food and
booze and have yourselves a good time.
4. Attend the Calabar carnival: Calabar
has been touted as a hot spot during the holiday
season so why not take a trip down east and check
out the colourful display of costumes while also
sampling the amazing delicacy of the Calabar
people.
5. Getaway with a loved one: Think
resort/hotel, cosy meals and lengthy
conversations. Need we say more?
6. Attend events: There are a dozen and one
events that happen over the holiday season. Why
not get dressed and head out for a few. You
never know what could come out of them *wink*.
