Son kills mother

Police Public Relations Officer, Enugu State
Command, Ebere Amaraizu, explains that the
woman was asleep when Uchechukwu sneaked
into her room at about around 5:00 am and
repeatedly stabbed her today before fleeing the
scene.
The world is surely coming to an end going by
stories one hears every other day. This is another
sad story of a son stabbing his own biological
mother to death in Enugu, South-East Nigeria. The
son, simply identified as Uchechukwu , allegedly
murdered his mother, Eunice Ugwuozor, after an
earlier minor disagreement in the family house.
According to police reports, the sad incident took
place in Ubiekpo Abor community in Udi Local
Government Area of Enugu State, on October 2,
2014. A statement from the Police Public Relations
Officer, Enugu State Command, Ebere Amaraizu,
explains that the woman was asleep when
Uchechukwu sneaked into her room at about
around 5:00 am and repeatedly stabbed her today
before fleeing the scene. He was later
apprehended by the community people and handed
over to the police where he confessed to his sordid
crime.
Though the police say they are yet to determine
the motive for his crime from Uchechukwu, the
statement noted that the alleged murderer has an
unresolved psychological problem.
The PPRO disclosed that operatives of the State
Criminal Investigations Division of the Enugu State
Command of the Nigeria Police Force have
commenced a full scale investigation to unravel
the mystery and circumstances surrounding the
alleged stabbing to death of the woman by the son.
